You are taking a walk, in a restaurant with  people and/or an interesting  atmosphere
or a  park with beautiful children playing. You capture the moment with a camera....
but are disappointed that you captured what the camera saw, not what you saw at
the moment.

You might like to sketch or paint the scene....but you don't have your materials with
you.....and a big canvas (paper) can be pretty intimidating. The scene is changing
and I don't have time to capture this moment.

Pocket Sketching is the answer that I have developed and taught to many people all
over the world. The materials all fit into a "fanny pack" that you can have with you on
walks, dinners and just out having fun.  Many of my students might be a little
intimidated by starting with a large canvass, so this 4" X 6" format will enable you to
capture  your ideas without investing in a lot of materials. You will learn this fun and
inspirational way to save your memories, creating a wonderful sketch in 25 minutes
or less.

I am always inspired by nature, I find peace, excitement, solace, power, everything
you can find in music, to be outdoors.  I try to catch the emotional impact of the
moment in my work. I will guide and teach you how to capture your memories and
feelings.

My goal when teaching is to impart my technique to the class and to help each
person realize they are really ‘getting it’ and they are far exceeding what they think
they are capable of achieving.  It’s all in seeing with a very open mind, experimenting,
evaluating from outside your expectations (limitations).  To me it’s totally exciting to
help each person discover his/her ability, honest self evaluation and self reward,
while learning a sketching technique to use anywhere for life.
